Organizational Defined Parameters

Organizational Defined Parameters (ODPs) are user-configurable variables and resources used for the automation of controls. ODPs within the app consist of numerical values used in ACE saved searches and lookups that must be defined to meet control and assessment objective requirements.

Numerical ODPs are configured on their respective control detail pages within the Assessment Objective section. To update an ODP of this type, click the pencil icon next to the ODP’s current value and adjust the value to suit your organization’s needs. Numerical ODP values are saved as search macros and the search macros are used within saved searches and dashboard panels relevant to the ODP’s control and respective assessment objectives.

Lookup ODPs are modified on their respective control detail pages within the Assessment Objective section. To update an ODP lookup, click the pencil icon next to the friendly ODP lookup name. A new browser tab will open within the Splunk App for Lookup File Editing context. Here, the lookup can be modified to suit your organization’s needs. The configured lookups are then used in saved searches and dashboard panels relevant to the ODP’s control and respective assessment objectives.
